Another reason for a third bedroom is having guests. She has lots of friends and relatives that stop by our area and we love having them come visit. That said, either the little guy has to stay in our room with us, or I/we stay with him while the guest(s) use our room. It can make the guests feel like they're putting us out and can throw the little guy's routine off.
Plus, her mother is staying with us a little more often now and I'd like her to be as comfortable as possible.
Also, looking long term, I would like the flexibility of being able to have our parents stay with us long term if the situation ever arose. Not all of them might want to, maybe none of them, but the future is always unpredictable and having that option is an important consideration.
Kudos for thinking ahead regarding the aging parents. Like you said, you never know what the future will bring. Also, a designated office space is something that solves a lot of issues.
ReplyDeleteSo important Joel, we have had a third bedroom,or more in,every house. We have either shared an,office or had our own. The idea of a room for guest or patent is invaluable. With,your condo all,the things you mention are valid. It is even less personal,putting guest or family in a hotel. A 3rd bedroom is a huge challenge in the condo.
