Must Have - Indoor/Outdoor Living

Indoor/outdoor living is something I have always wanted for these reasons. I love being out in the sun!

So IFF we are to buy a house with a yard, then I want less house and a lot more yard, as seen in these videos.

I am very okay with a smaller house. I welcome it, in fact, because that would mean less costs, less headaches, and less to clean and maintain.

In other words --> more freedom.

Now I can just hear my husband going, "But how are we going to find a house like that in our area... ?!"

Well... here is a little hint.

  1. Joel won't fit in a tiny home. He has interests and hobbies that require space and the little one is only going to get bigger... However, being aware of your needs and having an idea of a reasonable amount of space for your family will be so helpful in finding another home, or maximizing the space in the condo. The idea of indoor/outdoor living is attractive, but comes with it's own extra work. Maintaining outdoor furniture, hardscape, and landscape is something to consider. If it relaxes you, it can be therapy. If you don't enjoy it, it quickly becomes a chore.

    1. Decks, walkways, retaining walls, outdoor fireplaces, etc, etc. All of that requires upkeep and repair.

  3. Outside space is nice....it connects you with the outdoors without packing up,in,the car to,go,to the park. The bottom line is that isn't an,option at your condo. Small yards connected to a deck can be amazing with little maintainece required.

  4. The only way we have indoor/outdoor living in our condo is by having the dinning room table near the sliding glass door and possibly changing the slider to French doors. It really only opens the indoors up to the outdoors and doesn’t give any real view or feel for nature but does give fresh air and a breeze on hot days.
